Media Research, The top five items shopped for online are
cars and car parts, books, computers, clothing, and Cds and
videos. While the second through fifth ranked categories are
fairly close in terms of shoppers, cars and car parts is in
the lead by several million shoppers. Cars/Car parts account
for 18.2 million people, second is books with 12.4 million.
The biggest reason is that cars are much more easily shopped
for online than offline.
